Subject English Teaching

Relying on the advantageous educational resources of Sichuan University of Science and Engineering in the discipline of English language and literature, as well as the “Research Center for International Transmission of Sichuan Liquor Culture,” “The Popularization Base for the Dissemination of the Local Cultures ” and “the Popularization Center for the Dissemination of the Local Cultures of Southern Sichuan Province”, this major aims to cultivate high-quality elementary education English teachers, secondary vocational school English teachers, or English teaching and research personnel with strong practical teaching and research capabilities. This major has organically integrated the excellent English teacher resources from the School of Foreign Languages at Sichuan University of Science and Engineering and external middle schools or secondary vocational schools, which has formed a high-level teaching team with strong capabilities in English education practice and teaching research. Besides, a dual-supervisor system, with over twenty internal and external practice supervisors is adopted. The majority of the supervisors have experience in overseas exchanges and visits, securing nearly a million in research funds and successfully completing multiple provincial projects. Many of them have received various provincial and municipal teaching awards and honors.
