This course is designed to provide a theoretical understanding of the painter’s concepts and emotions, formal language and expressive approaches, image shaping and representation, conception and style of work and the intrinsic relationship between them, and clarify their influence and role in the creation of an oil painting. Through creative practice, students will experience the process of oil painting and seek their own creative approaches.
Language Practice in Oil Painting
This course is designed to provide a theoretical understanding of the concepts and emotions of the painter and painting school, the language and expressive approaches of oil painting, the production tools and materials, the conception and style of work and the intrinsic relationship between them, and clarify their influences and roles in exploring the language of oil painting. Through specific practice, students will experience the experimental process of oil painting language and seek their own personal language.
Chinese Painting Practice
This course is designed to provide a theoretical understanding of the painter’s concepts and emotions, formal language and expressive approaches, image shaping and representation, conception and style of work, and intrinsic relationship between them, and to clarify their influence and role in the creation of Chinese paintings. Through creative practice, students will experience the process of creating Chinese paintings and seek their own creative approaches.
Language Practice in Chinese Painting
This course is designed to enable students to understand the sketching techniques and rules of Chinese painting, so that they are able to select materials, choose and plan a picture, and lay a good foundation for future creative practice and study of formal language.
Creative Practice in Watercolor Painting
This course is designed to provide a theoretical understanding of the history of the development of watercolor painting and the origin of the development of Chinese watercolor painting, familiarize students with the creative concepts and expressive approaches of domestic and foreign watercolor artists, and enable them to grasp the research methods and expressive techniques of contemporary Chinese watercolor artists, so that they can be guided to achieve their goals and solve their problems in the later stage of their creative work.
Comprehensive Practice in Sculpture Materials
The course provides basic practical training in sculpture materials and techniques, including material selection, design and creation, tool selection and operation, subtractive sculpture modeling techniques and other practical skills.
Design
Creative Thinking and Design Practice
This course is designed to enable students to acquire a theoretical knowledge of creative thinking, formal language, design principles and expressive techniques, and encourage them to carry out personalized study and research. Based on design practice, the course focuses on developing students' skills in creative research and visual expression to broaden their design thinking and enhance their practical skills.
Practice in Visual Design
This course provides a theoretical understanding of the concept, development and significance of visual design to enable students to understand the disciplinary classification and design principles of visual design, learn about empirical investigation, design development and management implementation, and have a systematical grasp of the overall process of visual design. Through specific project practice, they are expected to experience the process of planning and design to explore the design method that meets the market demand.
Design Practice in Exterior Architectural Environment
This course provides theoretical knowledge of the concept of landscape, landscape perception, approaches to landscape expression, the basic forms and principles of landscape design and clarifies their influence and role in environmental design. Through specific creative practice, students will be enabled to understand the concepts of a landscape project, skillfully manage the process of a landscape project, deeply digest the content and constitution of landscape space, explore the expressions of the landscape scenario, and master the expressive techniques of landscape space design.
Practice in Environmental Design
This course provides a theoretical grasp of the characteristics of innovative thinking, and the strategies to enhance innovative thinking in environmental design. Through on-the-spot observation of the interior decoration projects and landscape construction sites, field investigation of excellent environmental design cases, coupled with creative practice, students are expected to enhance their theoretical insight and practical skills.
Investigation of Intangible Cultural Heritage
Through theoretical study, students are enabled to master the basic principles and methods of intangible cultural heritage investigation; through investigation practice, students are cultivated to combine theory with practice, so that they can independently carry out intangible cultural heritage investigation, obtain accurate first-hand information and prepare an investigation report with accuracy, rationality and foresight.
Design Practice in Intangible Cultural Heritage Transformation and Innovation
This course aims to provide theoretical study of the basic concepts, cultural values, transmission rules and innovative methods of intangible cultural heritage, cultivate students' enthusiasm for researching intangible cultural heritage, enhance their awareness of protecting intangible cultural heritage, and enable them to master the strategies, principles and methods for intangible cultural heritage design, so as to realize the creative transformation and innovative development of intangible cultural heritage.
