Wang Hualin is a professor and doctoral supervisor. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a recipient of the National Distinguished Youth Science Foundation. He serves as the leader of the Innovation Team for Key Areas in the Ministry of Science and Technology.  He has long been dedicated to research on the control and utilization of environmental pollutants at their source using physical methods. He proposed and successfully developed a closed-loop processing technology for cold coking wastewater in petroleum coking. This technology became the Environmental Protection Standard of the People's Republic of China HJ/T125-2003.
