From March 27 to 30, 2019, President Tuo Xianguo led a delegation to Bangkok, Thailand to visit the Thungsong municipal government and some universities.
On the morning of March 29, in the conference room of Thungsong municipal government, Lokhun Province,President Tuo Xianguo and the delegation participated in the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding on cooperation between SUSE and Thungsong City with Songchai, mayor of Thungsong City, and representatives of primary and secondary schools and universities.
Songchai,Mayor of Thungsong extended a warm welcome! Thank SUSE for supporting and helping Thungsong education, especially Chinese education and international student education! Songchai introduced the basic situation of Thungsong and the development of education cooperation. He said that they attach great importance to education development, especially Chinese education. The city has set up a Chinese exchange center in municipal middle school and Chinese courses in universities. Moreover, it needs to carry out comprehensive exchanges and cooperation with SUSE in education, scientific research and culture to promote the education development and talent cultivation.
President Tuo Xianguo introduced the construction and development of SUSE, especially the achievements of the international school running and the ideas of strengthening international education. He said welcome teachers from Thungsong to SUSE for exchange and study, and we can also select teachers and students volunteers to carry out Chinese teaching in Thungsong according to the actual situation. The scope of cooperation can be extended from education and Chinese teaching to scientific research, cultural exchange and teacher-student exchange. He hoped that the two sides could carry out all-round cooperation.
On March 28, President Tuo Xianguo and his party, accompanied by Songchai, visited the primary school and the Chinese learning and exchange center. On the afternoon of March 29, he visited the Southern Institute of Science and Technology in Thailand. On March 30, he visited Walailak University and Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi.
