Electrical Engineering and Automation

This major is oriented to the demands of social and local economic development in the electrical engineering field to cultivate undergraduate students to become applied, engineering-type talents with excellent scientific literacy and innovative spirit who can be qualified for jobs in power system enterprises or related industries.

Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical Engineering is a comprehensive interdisciplinary major that uses the methods of natural science and engineering technology to study the physiological and pathological processes of human beings, reveal life phenomena, and solve the problems of disease prevention and treatment from the perspective of engineering. Relying on the high-quality teaching resources in the field of electronic information of Sichuan University of Science & Engineering, Biomedical Engineering carries out school-enterprise cooperation with high-tech biomedical engineering enterprises, such as Jinshan Science & Technology (Group) Co., Ltd, and Chongqing Haifu Medical Technology Co. Ltd. The knowledge of electronic technology, computer and signal analysis, artificial intelligence theory and technology, medical imaging and basic medicine are taught integrally, and a training system for innovative talents is carried out for the integration of medical and engineering, so as to cultivate medical-engineering interdisciplinary applied talents to meet the needs of the future medical industry.  

Intelligent Science and Technology

The major of intelligent science and technology is based on the teaching staff and teaching conditions of automation, communication engineering, electronics and information engineering, computer, mathematics, biomedical engineering, and other majors at Sichuan University of Science & Engineering, adapted to the rapid development and demand of society and artificial intelligence technology, covering a comprehensive range of cutting-edge high-tech fields such as machine perception, machine learning, intelligent information processing, intelligent robots, brain science, and brain-inspired intelligence. This major relies on the College of Automation and Information Engineering, the College of Artificial Intelligence, and the Artificial Intelligence Key Laboratory of Sichuan Province. Intended to cultivate and master basic theoretical knowledge in the field of modern intelligent science and technology, including basic engineering knowledge and professional skills such as automatic control technology, computer technology, information processing technology, etc. This major possesses composite applied talents engaged in intelligent control and decision-making, intelligent information processing, embedded system design and development, management and decision-making, scientific research, and teaching in the field of artificial intelligence.
