The law program of SUSE is the major of comprehensive reform of Sichuan Province and also one of the first key characteristic disciplines of our university. SUSE is currently authorized to award the Juris Mater degree. This program is built upon four provincial-level key research platforms: the Primary-level Judicial Capability Research Centre, the Sichuan Provincial Intellectual Property Education Training Base, the Intellectual Property Law Research Association of Sichuan Law Society, and the Sichuan Provincial Centre for Juvenile Legal Education .
It has a well-structured faculty team with reasonable professional titles, ages, educational backgrounds, strong legal practice abilities and outstanding teaching and research capabilities. There are 43 full-time teachers, including 6 professors, 21 associate professors, and 16 lecturers. Among them, there are 21 teachers with doctoral degrees and 22 with master's degrees. Additionally, 5 teachers have study abroad experience. There are 25 full-time master’s supervisors and 40 professional teachers in students’ practice training off campus. In recent years, the team has led and participated in over 70 provincial and ministerial level (including provincial-platform-level) research projects and over 60 municipal-level projects. The annual research funding is over 2 million yuan. The team has already received more than 30 provincial and municipal level awards. So far, the team has published over 60 papers in Core Journals of China, more than 50 of which are in journals of CSSCI. In addition, over 20 monographs and textbooks have been published.
