The course systematically researches the basic spirit and essence of Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law. It helps students acquire the basic theory of China’s socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics. 

General Provisions of Civil Law

The course is the basis for other curricula related to civil law. It systematically illustrates the introduction of civil law, theories on civil subject, theories on civil objects, as well as theories on the content of civil relationship. It helps students acquire basic conceptions, theories and knowledge of civil law, as well as be familiar with the basic ideas and systems of civil law.  

General Provisions of Criminal Law

The course researches general provisions in China’s criminal law and is the basis for other specific provisions in criminal law. It is the cornerstone of the whole knowledge structure of the system of criminal law, including general problems of criminal law, theories on crime, theories on criminal responsibility, and theories on punishment. It helps students systematically understand the basic knowledge of criminal law, as well as acquire and apply basic theories of criminal law.  

Specific Provisions of Criminal Law

The course explains specific crimes. It aims to help students acquire legal knowledge, enhance legal qualities and abilities, form the spirit of humanity and the idea of the rule of law, and apply theories related to criminal law to cases’ resolution.

Intellectual Property Law

The course systematically illustrates basic conceptions, theories of intellectual property law. It helps students understand related laws and regulations, as well as put them into practice.

International Law

The course explains legal principles and rules regulating the relationship among nations. It helps students acquire laws related to international relationship and put them into practice.

Civil Procedure Law

The course is important in the courses related to procedural laws. It is based on courses related to substantive laws such as civil law and commercial law. It helps students train legal thought, form legal qualities, as well as enhance abilities of analyzing and resolving problems to effectively defend civil subjects’ legitimate right.

Criminal Procedure Law

Legal Ethics

The course illustrates basic theories of legal ethics, legal ethics in legal practice, and different requirements to professions in different legal fields. It aims to provide moral assistance about legal work to the cultivation of excellent comprehensive applied legal professionals.

Labor and Social Security

Management

The course is a basic compulsory curriculum. It is a kind of science which systematically researches the general rules and methods and comprehensively absorbing knowledge from multiple disciplines. It is beneficial to cultivate students’ abilities to apply management theories and knowledge to practical problems, analyze cases, as well as form management thought.  

Social Statistics

The course is an interdisciplinary one  related to sociology and statistics. It uses general theories of statistics to quantitatively describe or reason static and dynamic trends of the society. It requires students to acquire basic theories and methods, as well as expertly analyze statistics to work in enterprises, institutions, economic and management departments, education and research departments.

Research Methods in Social Sciences

The course is a compulsory curriculum. It develops from three levels of methodology and basic theories, specific research methods, and research technologies, as well as two sides of qualitatively and quantitatively researching. It helps students acquire and apply methods and technologies of collecting, sorting, analyzing and evaluating materials related to social research.  

Social Security

The course is basic compulsory curriculum. In the part of social security theories, it introduces basic conceptions, developing process, theory basis, system and mode, social security foundation and its management. In the part of systems, it introduces social assistance, social insurance and so on.  

Welfare Economics

This course helps students be familiar with basic concepts and theories of Welfare Economics, knowing the evolving process of welfare ideology, and providing theoretical preparations for follow-up courses. The course develops according to the evolving process of benefit ideas. It systematically explains the main contents of welfare economics.

Labor Economics

The course is about the phenomena and operating rules of labor market. It origined from the scarcity of labor resources and the existence of cost. It researches the efficient use of labor resources, the interaction between the supplying and demanding parties of labor, including the supplying and demanding of labor, labor market, working hours, as well as employment and unemployment.

Social Insurance

The course is a core curriculum. Developing from the basic knowledge and theories of social insurance, combining the current situation of China’s social insurance, it explains the main contents and related practice of social insurance system. First, based on the conceptions, categories and development of social insurance, explains social insurance management, foundation, registration and the cost payment. Second, it emphasizes China’s system of endowment insurance, medical insurance, maternity insurance, work injury insurance, and unemployment insurance.

Social Welfare and Social Assistance

The course helps students acquire basic theories and knowledge of social assistance and social welfare in social security system, as well as national systems of social assistance and social welfare.

Human Resources Management in Public Departments

The course is an important basic course. By lecturing the nature and legal environment of human resources management in public departments, as well as basic system of personnel administration in public departments, it explains how to build environmental basis for the human resources management and the resources distribution in public departments. It illustrates how to provide incentives for and develop human resources. It also explains in public departments how to design performance evaluation, salary, welfare and insurance.

Labor Law and Social Security Law

The course is based on the basic theories, knowledge and related regulations of labor law and social security law, and systematically and deeply researches hot issues and difficult problems in the process of regulation, improvement and implementation of labor law and social security law.

Administrative Management

Principles of Management

 The course is a compulsory course for undergraduate students of all management majors to help them to meticulously examined the situation and to use management tools and methods flexibly. Management science, which is an interdisciplinary science that absorbs knowledge from various disciplines, focus on the general laws and methods of management. This course is beneficial for developing students' ability of applying management theories and knowledge to solve practical problems and analyzing cases. 

Administrative Management

The course is a foundational course for this major. It is both theoretical and practical, constantly evolving and improving. This course introduces the knowledge about how the government (national administrative department) manages national affairs, social affairs, and its internal affairs. By studying and researching on these activities from their essences, phenomena, subjects, objects, concepts, techniques, contents, forms, systems, processes, histories and future, students understand the regularity of administrative management.  

Research Methods in Social Science

The course is a mandatory course in management science studies. Its aim is to provide students with a comprehensive and systematic introduction to the theories and methods of social science research. It covers three levels: methodology and foundational theories, specific research methods, and research techniques.  

Leadership in Organizations

The course is an important fundamental course in college-level administrative management majors. It generally introduces and discusses some iconic theories of leadership in organization in recent 50 years, the purport of which is to summarize theories and some practical experiences related to organizational leadership and to explore theories and behaviors of leadership within organizations starting from the essence of leadership.  

Social Statistics

The course is an interdisciplinary field that combines sociology and statistics. It is a specialized method and technique that applies the general principles of statistics to quantitatively describe or infer various static and dynamic trends in society. By this course, students not only master the elementary theories and methods of statistics, but also learn to analyze data on computers proficiently.  

Public Administration

The course researches on the management activities and basic laws of public organizations, especially of government organizations, using theories and methods from various disciplines such as political science, management, economics, etc. It originated from the traditional public administration that emerged in the early 20th century and the popular new public administration subject in the 1960s and 1970s. It has gradually developed since the late 1970s under the strong influence of public policy and business management. Today, it has become a university discipline that integrates multiple disciplines such as public policy and public affairs management.  

National Civil Service System

The course is theoretical, comprehensive, policy-oriented and practical. It primarily introduces the national civil service system of China, and also covers some typical civil service systems in other countries. Through the approach of institutional analysis and comparative analysis, the course explores the theory and practice of the national civil service system.  

Municipal Administration

Municipal administration is a course that systematically expounds the laws of municipal administration and its activities, including municipal subjects and their operations, municipal objects, municipal management contents and laws and so on. By studying the theories of municipal administration, drawing on the experience of western countries in the relevant academic fields, and combining with the practical issues of urban development and municipal administration in China, the course aims to enable students to understand main contents of municipal administration and the related tasks in China across the board and clarify the core propositions and functions of municipal administration in China under the new situation.

Social Security Studies

This course is a fundamental course of administrative management, combining theory and practical application. The course is divided into two parts: general overview and specific topics. The general overview provides a systematic introduction to the fundamentals of social security, including basic concepts, history, theoretical foundations, systems, models, social security funds and management systems. The specific topics focus on the practical aspects of social security systems, such as social assistance, social insurance and social welfare.
