Hu Zhen is an associate professor with Ph.D. and a master's supervisor in materials science. He undertakes national science and technology support plan projects, high-tech key projects of the department of science and technology, youth fund projects of the department of education, key projects of the science and technology bureau, key laboratory projects of corrosion and protection in Sichuan province, key laboratory projects of fine chemical additives universities in Sichuan province, talent introduction projects, school level cultivation projects, and 20 enterprise commissioned projects. He published over 30 papers, authorized 12 invention patents, and converted 2 achievements. His research direction focuses on development of fine chemicals, research on photocatalytic degradation of environmental pollution and  the resource utilization of high salt wastewater.
