1. Internationalization in Brief

In terms of internationalization, the College of Management Science adheres to the philosophy of opening up and developing with the world, and actively expands the space for internationalization. The College has set up the "International Exchange and Cooperation Office", which is responsible for the international exchange and cooperation matters of the College. The college has also set up the "Indo-Pacific Management and Culture Research Center", aiming to make full use of the international geographic resources, actively carry out academic seminars and exchanges with overseas counterparts, and commit itself to the development of mutual understanding of civilizations. At present, there are 28 international undergraduates and 60 international postgraduates from all over the world in the college, and the college also offers internationalization programs such as ACCA, CMA, which have trained more than 200 students.

 

2. Talent Training Programs for International Undergraduate Students 

Business Administration  

This program cultivates compound and applied senior professionals who are adapted to the needs of the modern market economy, have humanistic spirit, scientific literacy and integrity, master modern management theories, have an international vision, a sense of innovation and teamwork, have strong practical ability and communication skills, and are able to engage in management work or theoretical research and teaching in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. Students of this major mainly study the basic theories and basic knowledge of management, economics and business administration, complete all the courses and other teaching links stipulated in the cultivation program of this major in accordance with the regulations of the program, and complete the minimum total credits of 100 credits stipulated in this major, and they will be allowed to graduate with a bachelor's degree. Those who meet the conditions stipulated in the regulations of the program on the awarding of degrees will be awarded the Bachelor's Degree in Management.

Marketing  

This major cultivates high quality applied talents who are adapted to the needs of modern market economy, have humanistic spirit, scientific literacy and integrity, master the basic theoretical methods of management, economics, marketing and professional skills of marketing, have the ability to discover, analyze and solve the practical problems of marketing by comprehensively applying the relevant knowledge, and are able to be engaged in marketing research, marketing planning, advertising planning, sales management and other marketing operations and management in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. The graduates of this program will be able to engage in marketing research, marketing planning, advertising planning, sales management and other marketing activities in for-profit and non-profit organizations. Graduates of this program should reach the expected level (or equivalent level) of being competent to serve as management in enterprises and institutions about five years after graduation, and be able to hold their own in the field they are engaged in. 

According to the relevant regulations of the school 's academic management, those who complete all the courses and other teaching links stipulated in the cultivation program of this major and complete the minimum total credits of 100.5 credits stipulated in this major be allowed to graduate. The students will be allowed to graduate with a bachelor's degree. Those who meet the conditions stipulated in the College's degree conferment regulations will be awarded the Bachelor's degree in Management.

 

3. Talent Training Program for International Graduate Students 

Management Science and Engineering 

Management science and engineering of School of Management Science is a master's degree authorized primary discipline added by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council in 2010, and it is one of the key disciplines in the 12th and 13th Five-Year Plan of the university. In 2012 the program started to enroll master's degree students. In 2017 international graduate students are allowed to enroll.

The discipline cultivates compound and high-quality specialists with an open international perspective and a broad disciplinary background, who understand China's politics, economy, culture and society, who master the relevant basic theories and skills of management and scientific engineering, who are capable of management work in enterprises or governmental departments and teaching and research in the field of specialization, and who are able to participate in and promote friendly and cooperative relations between China and its host countries.

 

4. Accounting (ACCA-oriented) Program 

Accounting is currently the only full-time undergraduate program at the university that combines undergraduate degree education with international vocational education. Students in this major primarily learn basic theories and knowledge in accounting, auditing, and business management, receive basic training in accounting methods and techniques, and possess the basic ability to analyze and solve accounting problems. The core curriculum covers the knowledge system of ACCA.

This major cultivates high-level accounting talents with a deep humanities background, broad international vision, strong innovation awareness, and ability to adapt to the needs of socialist market economic development. These talents have a solid theoretical foundation and professional skills in accounting, management, economics, law, etc., and can engage in accounting business and management in various enterprises, public institutions, and government departments, especially accounting firms or the securities company.

 

5. Accounting (CMA-oriented) Program

The U.S. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification was introduced to the School of Sichuan University of Science & Engineering. The CMA training class  is a brand-new mode of integrating undergraduate education with international vocational education, and combining domestic academic education with international academic education, and it fully satisfies the elite cultivation program carried out by the students outside the full-time courses.

CMA training class will take the combination of voluntary application and school selection. CMA training class aims to cultivate a group of strategic talents with CMA qualification, broad knowledge, profound professional skills, adapt to the needs of modern business, and be able to engage in senior management affairs in large multinational corporations, accounting firms, CMA students are generally comprehensive talents with practical ability and business acumen, which meet the needs of enterprises.
