Mathematics (Master)

Mathematics is the study of the concepts of quantity, structure, change, and spatial modeling. Through the use of abstraction and logical reasoning, it arises from counting, calculating, measuring, and observing the shape and motion of objects. The basic elements of mathematics are: logic and intuition, analysis and reasoning, commonality and individuality. With the progress of the times, the rapid development of mathematical sciences has further established its fundamental and dominant position in the whole field of science and technology, and formed three main features of contemporary mathematics: the trend of high development of various disciplines within mathematics and the continuous intersection and integration among them; the unprecedented and extensive penetration and application of mathematics in other fields; and the tremendous mutual promotion between mathematics and information science and technology.

Cultivation Objectives:

It aims to have a solid foundation in modern mathematics and strong computer application ability, to have the ability to carry out theoretical research independently and self-learning ability, and to have the ability to use professional knowledge to solve certain practical application problems in cooperation with relevant professionals, to pay attention to the intersection of disciplines, to understand the frontiers of the disciplines and the development trend of the disciplines, to have the scientific spirit of being brave to innovate, to pay attention to the internationalization of the academic communication, and to cultivate the students who have the international vision and who can be engaged in the mathematics research, and mathematics teaching and mathematics application. The program focuses on the internationalization of academic exchanges to cultivate high-level talents with an international perspective who can be engaged in various kinds of scientific research, teaching or management practices in mathematics research, mathematics teaching and mathematics application.

 

Introduction and Research Direction of Secondary Subjects

1. Basic Mathematics

To provide powerful mathematical ideas, methods and problem-solving tools for theoretical and applied research in natural science and engineering, the program is mainly devoted to the research of basic and applied basic theories in the application of algebraic methods in big data analysis, function space and operator theory, differential geometry and its applications.

2. Computational Mathematics

It is a basic, applied and marginal mathematical discipline formed by the cross-penetration of mathematics, operations research and control science, computer science, physics and other disciplines, and is mainly devoted to the research of high-performance numerical computation, financial data analysis and image recognition technology.

3. Applied Mathematics

It is an important link between theoretical knowledge of mathematics and applied science, engineering technology, etc., including the establishment of corresponding mathematical models and the use of mathematical methods to solve practical problems, and is mainly devoted to the research of neural network dynamics, chaotic system analysis, and the mathematics of uncertainty processing.

4. Operations Research and Cybernetics

Taking mathematics and computer as the main tools, from the point of view of system and information processing, we study and solve the modeling, analysis, planning, design, control and optimization problems of various systems in society, economy, finance, military, production management, planning and decision-making, etc. We are mainly devoted to the research of operations research and optimization, network optimization and intelligent control, stochastic optimization and decision-making.

5. Data Science (Interdisciplinary)

Formed by the intersection of mathematics, food science and engineering, control science and engineering and other first-level disciplines, based on computational mathematics, operations research and cybernetics, nonlinear analysis and application, brewing process analysis and intelligent control, complex system modeling, simulation and control, etc., and using mathematics and data processing software as the main tools, applying data analysis and intelligent information processing methods, extracting meaningful information for scientific research and practice from liquor big data, exploring large-scale or large-scale data processing methods, and exploring the possibility of using data analysis and intelligent information processing methods for scientific research and practice. It is mainly devoted to the research of alcohol data modeling, intelligent information processing, etc. It also explores the efficient generalization, in-depth analysis, precise prediction, optimal control and decision-making of larger scale or structurally complex data sets.
