1. Introduction to Engineering Laboratory
National Engineering Laboratory of Circular Economy was accredited by the China Circular Economy Association in 2022. The laboratory focuses on conducting application research and engineering technology studies in the field of safe disposal and resource utilization of saline wastewater, with a specific emphasis on the characteristics of radioactive saline wastewater's safe disposal and resource utilization, development of functional membrane materials and anti-pollution technology, waste salt purification, recycling and resource technology, as well as control technology for organic pollutants in high-saline wastewater. In order to address major key challenges and common technical issues related to the safe disposal and resource utilization of salt-containing wastewater, our aim is to develop a series of essential common technologies, products, equipment, and relevant standards within this field. This will expedite the establishment of a national strategic scientific and technological force while providing robust support for innovation hubs' construction and self-reliance in advanced science and technology.
2. Team composition and status
National Engineering Laboratory of Circular Economy has formed a high-level scientific research team with stable research direction, strong sense of innovation and good application and transformation of results. There are 15 full-time researchers and 5 part-time researchers, including 8 professors (researchers), 1 associate professor and 11 lecturers. There are 1 foreign academician, 1 national talent title winner, and 8 provincial and ministerial expert talent title winners. In the past five years, he has presided over and conducted research on more than 30 national and provincial projects, published more than 50 SCI papers, applied for 35 patents, authorized 12 patents, passed 5 provincial and ministerial achievements appraisal, and won 2 third prizes of Sichuan Science and Technology Progress. He won the first prize of Sichuan-Chongqing Industry-academic-Research Innovation Achievement Award in 2021, the second prize of Innovation Award of China Invention Association in 2022, the second prize of the Grand Final of "Maker China" in Sichuan Province in 2022 (Top 500 in China), and the Special Prize of Science and Technology Award of Sichuan Circular Economy Association.
3. Research direction
(1) Safe disposal and resource utilization of radioactive saline wastewater;
(2) Functional film material development and anti-pollution technology;
(3) Waste salt purification and recycling technology;
(4) Control technology of organic pollutants in high-salinity wastewater
4. Organizational structure
National Engineering Laboratory of Circular Economy is led by Sichuan Light Chemical Engineering University, co-built by Chengdu Zhonghuan Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., LTD., and supported by Haitian Water Group Co., LTD., giving full play to the advantages of multi-disciplinary collaboration. The engineering design capability of Chengdu Zhonghuan Engineering Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. and the application technology promotion capability of Haitian Water Group Co., LTD., solve the difficulties and pain points in the safe disposal and resource utilization of salt-containing wastewater in China at the present stage, and build a base of circular economy technology innovation and achievement transformation and senior personnel training base with important influence in the field of sewage treatment. (4) "Key Technologies and Applications of functional specific structural Materials for the treatment of refractory industrial wastewater", Second Prize in the Grand Final of "Maker China" Sichuan Province (National Top 500), 2022;
(5) Lightweight high-strength toughening XXX material engineering, State Administration of Science and Industry for National Defense, the total project funding of 14.24 million yuan, 2.85 million yuan borne by the school, 2022.12-2026.12;
(6) The development of integrated XXX material for propeller anti-air erosion and anti-pollution, the State Administration of Science and Industry for National Defense, the total fund of the project is 6.65 million yuan, and the school undertakes 470,000 yuan, 2022.12-2025.12;
