Shanghai Cultural Exchange Center Preparatory Camp for Internship in...

     In order to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the National Education Conference, promote the internationalization of the university, further implement the Ministry of Education's "Notice on Promoting Internships for Graduates of General Colleges and Universities in International Organizations" (No. 6 of Teaching [2017]), and cultivate a batch of high-quality talents with an international outlook and comprehensive abilities,  from 2021 onward sthe university will select and recommend outstanding students to participate in the "Preparatory Camp for Internship in International Organizations" program of Shanghai Center for Cultural Exchange in Foreign Countries every year during the summer and winter vacations.

I. Program Information

1. Location: Shanghai and Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province

2. Program time: during the summer and winter vacation period

3. Relevant organizations (units) in example: International organizations and NGOs based in China;

4. Program benefits: Certificate of practical training for the preparatory camp for internships in international organizations outside Shanghai, certificate of participation jointly issued by Shanghai and one of the international organizations, mock interviews with international organizations, and so on.

Notice: Due to the work arrangement of international organizations and other objective factors, some of the visiting international organizations and sharing guests may be adjusted or changed.

 

II. Program Fee 5800 RMB

Includes: offline accommodation, pre-travel counseling, accident insurance, program arrangements, guest lectures, visits to international organizations, venues, teaching materials and other costs.

Costs do not include: transportation, meals, personal consumption during the project, and additional costs incurred during the project due to personal needs.

III. Selection Scope and Requirements

1. undergraduate students and master's degree students;

2. progressive thinking, good moral character, no record of violation of rules and discipline;

3. good physical and mental health, and strong adaptability;

4. with the same conditions, strong willingness to participate and volunteer to work in international organizations after graduation are preferred.

 

. Selection Process

1. Individual application:

The Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges will issue a notice of the program every semester, and students will submit the application form and related materials within the specified time according to the requirements;

2. List determination

After the International Cooperation and Exchange Office reviews the application information, the Shanghai Cultural Exchange Center will determine the list of students according to the relevant conditions, and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office will make a public announcement.

3. Payment of program fee

After the publicity period, the program students pay the program fee.
