The "International Cooperation and Training Program for Wisdom + Composite Innovative Research Talents " led by Sichuan University of Science & Engineering was successfully approved by China Scholarship Council (CSC) in 2023.
      The Western Region Talent Cultivation Program is a program specially set up by the Ministry of Education of PRC to support the western region according to the specific situation of the area in line with the grand developing strategy. This "Special Program for Talent Cultivation in the Western Region and Local Innovative Sub-Program of Local Cooperative Programs" is the new sub-program added by the CSC in the western local programs since 2019, which is aimed at better matching the characteristics of the talent cultivation needs of the western provinces and regions, and promoting the construction of first-ranking universities and first-ranking academic disciplines, so as to better serve the national strategy and practically cultivate more composite and innovative talents for the local regions.
