On June 13, 2022, China Scholarship Council officially approved the participation of Sichuan University of Science and Engineering in the overseas training program for young elite researcher of higher education institutions from 2022 onwards, and signed the relevant agreement.   
       This program is established to track the frontier of academic development, encourage and actively promote the strong cooperation between institutions of higher education and famous foreign universities and scientific research institutions, and select and send young elite teachers with great potential to engage in cooperative research in foreign high-level universities or scientific research institutions.
      The program was established in 2004, and has been gradually opened up to more outstanding universities as the country promotes the construction of first-class disciplines and the development of the strategy of strengthening universities with talents. The annual selection plan is determined by the cooperation agreement signed between the Commission and the domestic universities, and the students are mainly sent to famous universities, research institutes, laboratories and other organizations in developed countries in education, science and technology.
      The approval of this project is a full recognition of our school's "Talent Strengthening" work, and it also means that our school has the right to independently select and evaluate teachers' overseas training programs, which is bound to become a benign opportunity for the sustained and stable development of the internationalization of our backbone teaching team, and to cultivate and create a group of innovative ability for the school, It opens up a new channel for the university to cultivate and nurture a group of young academic backbones with innovative ability and development potential and leading talents in disciplines with international influence.
      Every year, the university will select young elite teachers to go abroad to carry out training programs in accordance with the requirements of the China Scholarship Council, and the specific application time and selection process will be subject to the notice of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office in the current year.
