the Sichuan Baijiu Development Research Center

The Sichuan Baijiu Development Research Center, formerly known as the Chinese Baijiu Culture Research Center of Sichuan University of Science and Engineering, was established in 2007. In response to the "129" strategic goal for the development of Sichuan Baijiu set by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Government, the construction of the "Upper Yangtze River Baijiu Economic Belt" strategy, and the "China Baijiu Golden Triangle" strategy, the center integrates multidisciplinary research forces from Sichuan University of Science and Engineering, both within and outside the province, as well as advantageous resources in the Sichuan Baijiu industry. In October 2010, it was officially approved as a key research base for philosophy and social sciences in Sichuan Province and a key research base for humanities and social sciences by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education.

Affiliated with Sichuan University of Science and Engineering, the center is dynamically managed by the Sichuan Provincial Federation of Social Sciences and the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education. It comprises a management committee and an academic committee.
