On the afternoon of March 5, 2019, Tomi, Deputy Director of the Student Department of the Ministry of Education of Laos, Kampa, Vice President of Champasak University, Shen Shuli, Director of the Graduate Affairs Department of Champasak University, and Song Suda, a staff member of the Education Department, visited SUSE. President Tuo Xianguo warmly received guests at the Yibin campus.

Tuo Xianguo stated that China and Laos are neighbors, good brothers, and good partners, and have had friendly exchanges for a long time. He briefly introduced the school's educational history, advantages, and characteristics. He emphasized that SUSE is the closest Sichuan provincial university to Laos in a straight line, and the school is involved in many industries, with the responsibility of helping industries enhance their competitiveness. SUSE will vigorously develop international education, carry out international talent training, and strive to build itself into a comprehensive international university. He hoped that the exchange between the two sides can find more opportunities for cooperation, laying a good foundation for both sides to carry out study abroad education, cooperation and exchange.
