In order to actively integrate into "the Belt and Road" initiative and promote educational exchanges and cooperation with relevant universities and institutions in Laos, Vice President Liu Kang led a delegation to Laos on June 24-28, 2019.
On June 24th, the delegation arrived at the Vientiane Panda Chinese Language Training Center. Zou Xiaolong, the principal of the Center, introduced the history of the center's education.Liu Kang introduced the history and development of SUSE's education and construction.
On June 25th, the delegation arrived at Champasak University in Laos and was warmly received by their Vice President PHONESAVANH THEPPHASOULITHONE. Champasak University is one of the four universities directly under the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos, and signed a memorandum of cooperation with our university in March 2019. This follow-up visit is to deepen cooperation and exchange between the two universities.
On June 26th, the delegation visited the Student Department of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos. Deputy Director SOMNUCK KOUSONSAVATH introduced the organizational structure,and interpreted the procedures required for Laotian students to study in China and the certification requirements for returning to Laos, and also expressed support for the educational cooperation between SUSE and Champasak University.
On June 27th, the delegation visited the National University of Laos, and Vice President HOUNGPHET CHANTHAVONG warmly received the delegation. The National University of Laos is a comprehensive university, and the president expressed his willingness to cooperate with SUSE.
On June 28th, the delegation visited the Laos China Economic and Trade Promotion Association, and President Yang Donglun warmly received the delegation. SUSE's 2019 Laotian graduate NIOU KESONE (Liu Sha) previously interned at the association and has now officially joined. Yang Donglun gave high praise to Liu Sha's work performance and expressed appreciation for international educational philosophy of SUSE.
