On the afternoon of March 9th, Ye Guiping, Vice President of City University of Macau and President of Portuguese-Speaking Countries Institute, and his party visited our school for international exchange and cooperation. Luo Huibo, Vice President of our school, gave a warm reception in the first meeting room on the 11th floor of the administrative center of Libaihe Campus.

On behalf of the school, Vice President Luo Huibo welcomed Ye Guiping and his party, and briefly introduced the history, scale, orientation, subject characteristics and Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools.

Vice President Luo Huibo hopes that with this rare dialogue platform, we can exchange information, build cooperation and develop together with the City University of Macau in discipline construction, scientific research cooperation and joint training of talents, turn cooperation ideas, ideas and expectations into pragmatic actions, set his eyes on the further future, and constantly improve and innovate the quality of international cooperation in higher education.

Ye Guiping, vice-president of City University of Macau and president of the Portuguese-speaking National Research Institute, said that the achievements of Sichuan University of Light Chemical Technology in the fields of Chinese and foreign languages, regional and national studies in domestic higher education are well-known among domestic universities and colleges, and it is a great honor to be able to come to Sichuan University of Light Chemical Technology to carry out international exchanges and cooperation.

Cai Zhaoliang, director of the Portuguese Teaching and Research Section of the School of Foreign Languages of our university, introduced the construction and development of Portuguese major in our university. The two sides exchanged views on scientific research cooperation and joint training of talents between the two universities.

Liu Jiaxin, assistant professor of Portuguese-speaking National Research Institute of City University of Macau, Xiong Xingzhong, Minister of graduate department of our university, Wu Yadong, Director of Science and Technology Department, Yun Hong, Dean of Foreign Languages Institute, Fu Qingshan, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department, and related staff attended the meeting. Li Yongmei, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, hosted the meeting.
