President Tuo Xianguo led a delegation to visit Germany and Britain

At the invitation of University of Gö ttingen in Germany, Dresden University of Technology and University of Chester in England, from June 28th to July 5th, the President Tuo Xianguo led a delegation to Germany and Britain for an exchange visit, and held talks on promoting international cooperation in running schools and deepening academic exchanges and cooperation, so as to further consolidate the partnership between the two sides and explore the fields and ways of cooperation and exchange.

From June 29th to June 30th, President Tuo Xianguo and his party visited the Medical College of University of Gö ttingen, Germany, visited the Medical Research Institute, the German Geriatric Degenerative STDs Research Center (DZNE) and many laboratories, and listened to the latest developments in scientific research, medical care and industrialization of the Medical College of University of Gö ttingen and the key points of future development strategies.

From June 30th to July 1st, President Tuo Xianguo and his party visited the Institute of Advanced Studies in Dresden University of Technology, Germany. The dean of the college introduced the development history, academic advantages, research priorities and international cooperation projects of the school to President Tuo Xianguo, and fully affirmed the profound friendship accumulated by exchanges and cooperation between the two schools.

During the vist, President Tuo Xianguo made a special trip to visit the students studying in Germany in our school, and had a cordial exchange with them. He cooked dishes for the students in his hometown and encouraged them to actively use international resources to participate in scientific research and academic activities, study smoothly, grow into talents, win honor for our school and serve the motherland.

From July 2 to July 4, President Tuo Xianguo and his delegation visited the University of Chester, England, and held talks with relevant officials of the University. The two sides conducted a comprehensive and in-depth discussion on key issues such as the mode and objectives of cooperative education, curriculum setting and student management, reached a consensus on specific issues of cooperation, and formulated the next cooperation plan.

The intense and fruitful visit and exchange with Britain and Germany has achieved substantial results, which is of great significance to further consolidate the partnership network between the school and relevant universities in Britain and Germany, open up a new situation of high-level foreign cooperation and exchange, improve the internationalization level of school personnel training and scientific research, and boost the high-quality and connotative development of school undertakings.
