Tang Ying is a doctor, a professor and a master's supervisor. He mainly studies ancient Chinese literature and culture, and is a member of the China Research Society on Semantics and Etymology and a director of the China Guo Moruo Research Society. He has published many papers in various academic journals and published three academic monographs. He has also led a research project funded by the National Social Science Fund of China and presided over one humanities and social science planning project of the Ministry of Education and several projects at provincial and departmental levels.
