Chinese Language and Literature

Chinese Language and Literature is one of the majors with a long history and the most profound academic accumulation in Sichuan University of Science & Engineering. The university has recruited master graduates of education in Subject Teaching (Chinese) since 2018. This major aims to cultivate high-quality and application-oriented talents who can adapt to the economic and social development, possess good ideological and moral cultivation, humanistic spirit, scientific literacy, and innovative consciousness, master solid basic theories, knowledge, and skills of Chinese Language & Literature, and are competent in teaching Chinese language in primary and secondary schools, as well as working as secretaries in government agencies and enterprises, and are qualified to engage in related work in the fields of news, culture, and international Chinese language education.

History (Normal)

History (normal) fully implements the Party's educational policy, fulfills the fundamental task of cultivating morality and nurturing people, cultivates the teachers with "Four Qualities" who have good Marxist historical theory literacy, modern educational concepts, and good professional ethics, solid professional knowledge and skills, strong scientific research awareness, creative spirit, and practical ability, have sustainable self-development ability, and are capable of teaching history in middle school. The university has recruited master graduates of education•in Subject Teaching (History) since 2022.

Radio and Television Studies

Radio and Television Studies is set up based on the inherent laws of Journalism and Communication, and focuses on the practical needs and future prospects of the development of the radio and television industry. It mainly studies the basic theories in the basic principles of Marxism, journalism, radio and television studies, communication studies, and focuses on cultivating students' basic skills in radio and television news interviewing, writing, directing, broadcasting, program hosting. In the era of integrated media, the major keeps pace with the times and changes accordingly. The new media courses are added to cultivate composite media talents who comprehensively develop in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, and aesthetics, and can engage in interviews, reporting, filming, editing, hosting, planning, and management in broadcasting and television institutions, as well as other media and enterprise institutions. Students in this major mainly learn the basic theories and knowledge of journalism, communication, broadcasting and television, new media, etc. They will conduct basic training in broadcasting and television news collection, writing, editing, and integrated media writing, shooting, and editing, and master the basic abilities to work in broadcasting and television, new media, and other fields.
