Research on Subject (Ideological and Political Education) Curriculum and Textbooks

This course reflects the characteristics of ideological and political education, combine closely theory with practice, aims to forge and improve postgraduates’ ability of teaching the subject of ideological and political education, and cultivates professional  ideological and political teachers for middle schools who are intelligent, reflective, exploratory and practical. The study of this course will help the postgraduates to master the goals, concepts and content of ideological and political subject in middle schools, teaching concepts and methods of middle school ideological and political  courses, develop their ability to transform textbook content into teaching content and students’ learning content, cultivate their ability to apply dialectical thinking to process textbooks of middle school ideological and political course.

Research on the Design and Implementation of Subject (Ideological and Political Education) Teaching 

This course is a basic theoretical course and compulsory course for postgraduate students in ideological and political education. This course aims to enable postgraduates to master the relevant basic concepts, knowledge and theories of ideological and political subject teaching design, further broaden postgraduates’ professional knowledge, enhance their theoretical level, make them aware of the importance of instructional design, enable them to know the research and development status of ideological and political teaching design, make them proficient in reasonably designing specific political teaching content, teaching objectives, teaching strategies, teaching elements, teaching processes, teaching plans, and teaching evaluations, enable them to pay attention to the connection and difference between the teaching design of ideological and political education and that of other courses, develop and improve their accomplishment and practical ability of specific teaching design, teaching implementation and teaching evaluation, guide them to understand the policies and practices of curriculum reform in middle school, lay the foundation for postgraduates to engage in political teaching and educational research in the future.

Special research on the theory of ideological and political education

This course is a basic theoretical course and compulsory course for postgraduate students in ideological and political education. Taking the research on the most basic theoretical issues in the discipline of ideological and political education as the fundamental direction, through strict theoretical and writing training of postgraduate students, the course aims to enable postgraduate students to form a clear theoretical framework for ideological and political education, and gain a preliminary understanding of scientific research methods in the field of ideological and political education. On the basis of the achievements in disciplinary construction, this course focuses on absorbing the latest achievements in theoretical research of the discipline, systematically and comprehensively elaborates on the ideological and political education’s basic concepts and theoretical foundations, phenomenon and essence, basic categories, goals and contents, subjects and objects, contradictions and structures, environment and optimization, methods and arts. The theories and methods that students have previously mastered in all subjects need to be comprehensively remelted in this course in order to form the core theoretical foundation of ideological and political education and exercise the most basic subject abilities.

Case Analysis and Practical Operation of Subject Teaching (Ideological and Political Education) 

This course is a basic theoretical course and compulsory course for postgraduate students in ideological and political education. Guided by Marxism Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, and the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics, especially Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the course aims to offer knowledge of relevant case analysis, enable postgraduate students to master the principles and methods of analyzing ideological and political education cases, make postgraduate students further consolidate the theoretical knowledge of ideological and political education, and improve the ability and quality to comprehensively apply ideological and political education theories and methods to analyze and solve practical problems, lay a solid foundation for teaching ideological and political education in middle schools and secondary vocational schools, and provide postgraduate students with practical research methods and experience in ideological and political education in the future.

This course is a compulsory course for postgraduate students in ideological and political education. Taking the cutting-edge theoretical and practical research in subject teaching (ideological and political education) as the fundamental direction, organizing the existing research results of subject teaching (ideological and political education) research, the course aims to make postgraduate students understand the latest achievements in theoretical research in subject education (ideological and political), and master the basic methods of analyzing research results, master the basic methods of analyzing research results, master the trend of theoretical research in subject education (ideological and political education), guide students to analyze and study the key and difficult issues in the field of ideological and political education.
