Physical chemistry mainly engages in photocatalysis/electrocatalysis, corrosion electrochemistry, chemical sensing and other research. It is integrated with energy disciplines, focusing on fuel cell air electrode catalysts, and hydrogen production catalysts.
Inorganic Chemistry
Inorganic chemistry mainly engages in the research of functional inorganic complexes, metal-organic framework materials, hydrogenation enzyme mimics and so on. It is integrated with materials science, focusing on energy-containing materials, anti-corrosion materials, and other research.
Green Catalysis
Green catalysis mainly engages in the design of novel enzyme-mimicking catalysts, photocatalytic degradation of pollutants, photocatalytic hydrogen production by water decomposition. It is integrated with environmental engineering, focusing on research on high salt wastewater treatment, solid waste resourcing and so on.

Water Pollution Control Engineering
This program mainly engages in the research and process development of domestic sewage treatment technology, water environment treatment and ecological restoration technology research, and low-cost industrial wastewater treatment technology research.
Solid Waste Disposal and Resource Utilization
This program mainly engages in the research of solid waste disposal and resource utilization in light industry and chemical industry, including the resource utilization of phosphogypsum, chemical gypsum, food gypsum and other industrial by-products; the use of biological fermentation, microwave cracking and lime kiln synergistic treatment and other technologies for the disposal and resource utilization of organic solid wastes generated from papermaking, food, and brewing, research on the disposal and resource utilization of industrial waste slag aluminium ash, white sludge, and other inorganic solid wastes. Its research is on phosphorus mine tailings, high magnesium, high-silica phosphate ore flotation technology and the resource utilization technology of iron beneficiation in copper tailings.
Environmental Protection Materials and Applications
This program mainly engages in the research on the use of gypsum-based functional materials in the field of polymer and papermaking industry; the design, synthesis and application of new catalytic materials with high performance for wastewater treatment; and the design and synthesis of high-performance new energy battery materials.
