On August 5, 2019, Professor Kang K. Yen, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs of Florida International University (FIU), and his delegation visited SUSE.
In the morning, Kang K. Yen visited the Baijiu Culture Square, the library, the public teaching building, and the overseas students' apartment in Yibin campus, focusing on the Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence in Sichuan Province and Internet of Things Engineering and Engineering Training Center of the School of Computer Science.
Subsequently, a symposium was held at the Yibin campus, and Vice President Yan Jie warmly received the guests. He introduced the history, positioning, and international cooperation of our school. He stated that SUSE adheres to the concept of open education and actively carries out foreign exchange activities. It has established cooperative relationships with foreign universities such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Cuba, Belarus, Pakistan, etc. He hopes to take Professor Kang K. Yen's actions as an opportunity to build a bridge for exchange and cooperation between our university and FIU.
Kang K. Yen briefly introduced FIU. He stated that in terms of professional fields, FIU and SUSE have broad cooperation opportunities. SUSE's beautiful campus environment, comfortable living space for international students, and good spiritual demeanor of teachers and staff have left a deep impression on him. He is willing to continue to maintain communication and exchange with our school and strive to facilitate cooperation between the two parties as soon as possible.
