

On the afternoon of April 16, the Exhibition and Award Ceremony of Social Practice Achievements of Winter Vacation in 2025 for SUSE International Students was held at the classroom of A4-108 in the Yibin campus. The event was organized by the Sci-tech Innovation Service Center of Sanjiang New District of Yibin. The international students from over 20 countries, including Laos, Russia, Mongolia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Equatorial Guinea, and Morocco, etc.
This social practice of winter vacation focused on the research of the mutual connections between the students’ home countries and China, such as trade, investment, education, academic research, and cultural tourism. The study on the “We-Media Era and the Dissemination Tone of Public Opinion” is also included. For example, what languages have been used by those key influencers of Internet in the foreign students’ own countries? What are their fields of expertise for them? How many fans do they have? What are their public influence and its scope? According the the appraisal of those experts present,five students from Russia, Mongolia, Laos, Vietnam and Tajikistan were awarded the First Prize. Eight students from Vietnam, Morocco and Laos received the Second Prize, and other seven students from Laos, Russia and Vietnam won the Third Prize. The awards were presented by head of the Sci-tech Innovation Service Center of Sanjiang New District of Yibin.
At the ceremony, some of those award-winning students, inclusive of TRAN THI THUYLINH from Vietnam, PHANTHANALAY LASAPHONE form Laos, SODNOMBAYAR SOD-ERDENE from Mongolia, SKOROBOGATKO ALENA from Russia, and PULOTZODA MUIN from Tajikistan, shared their research findings respectively. During the session, many international students shared their initial challenges at the beginning of the social practice. However, they also expressed that they have not only reinforced their professional knowledge but also significantly improved their cross-cultural analytical research skills after they have been familiar with work. They all considered this opportunity as a valuable and rewarding experience, in the hope that they would make it well in the future.
This sharing by the award-winning students inspired and encouraged all attendees. Many international students expressed their determination of studying Chinese enthusiastically and they would keep on improving their academic research capabilities, aiming to lay a solid foundation of fostering international exchange and cooperation between China and their own countries in the future.
