RMUTT Chair leads delegation to SUSE for academic exchange and cooperation

On March 11, Professor Thongchai Thavichachart, Chair of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), led a delegation to visit SUSE at the Libaihe Campus. The delegation included Ms. Tooktavin Thavichachart and Professor  Suinoman Nianlang, Vice President of RMUTT, along with members of the university’s administrative team. President Tuo Xianguo received the guests at the Administrative Center.

At the meeting, President Tuo extended a warm welcome to the RMUTT delegation. He noted that China and Thailand share a long history of friendly exchanges spanning over a thousand years, with the concept of “China and Thailand as one family” deeply rooted among the peoples of both countries. He emphasized that SUSE has consistently attached great importance to educational cooperation with Thailand and has actively dispatched Chinese language volunteers to Thailand to promote Chinese language and culture. Marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China–Thailand diplomatic relations in 2025, President Tuo stated that bilateral ties are entering a new stage of development, offering broader prospects for cooperation between the two universities.

Professor Thongchai spoke highly of the educational quality of SUSE, describing the partnership between RMUTT and SUSE as a model of educational and cultural exchange. He noted that 2025 marks the 60th anniversary of SUSE and the 50th anniversary of RMUTT, giving the visit special significance as a new starting point for future-oriented cooperation and shared development.

Both sides reviewed the progress of collaboration since the establishment of the partnership in 2021 and held in-depth discussions on cooperative education programs, joint laboratory development, faculty and student exchanges, and cultural exchange initiatives. The two universities agreed that the visit further strengthened mutual understanding and friendship and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing cooperation in education and research.

Senior administrators and faculty members from RMUTT, along with representatives from relevant departments of SUSE, attended the meeting. The discussion was chaired by Li Yongmei, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.
